Travel Information: COVID-19

The well-being of our guests and employees is of utmost importance to us at Copley Square Hotel. We are closely monitoring the Coronavirus (COVID-19) and following guidelines from the Center for Disease Control and Prevention agency as well as local health departments.We understand that you may be experiencing stress given the fluctuating changes and cancellation of upcoming events. In order to maintain a safe environment and address your concerns, we have implemented the following measures:

Only accepting reservations for essential travel related to COVID-19

In compliance with Order No.21 by the State of Massachusetts we are now only accepting reservations for essential travel related to COVID-19. We will continue to provide accommodation for:

-Health care workers, first responders, and other workers constituting the COVID-19 Essential Workforce

-Out-of-state workers engaged in transportation of materials, logistics, and construction associated with the delivery of health-related services

-Guests unable to return to their own homes due to flight cancellations, border closures, or other direct and material constraints on travel

-Housing and accommodation for Massachusetts residents (i) who are isolating or self- quarantining; and (ii) families or roommates of individuals who are isolating or self- quarantining; but (iii) in each case, for no longer than the period required to complete the necessary period of self-isolation or self-quarantining

-Housing and accommodation for individuals receiving long-term, specialized medical care from a physician located in the Commonwealth, and for accompanying family members

Commitment to Cleanliness

In addition to our customary thorough cleaning practice we are proactively increasing the frequency and intensity of our cleaning. Our employees are closely following updates by the Center for Disease Control and Prevention agency and have been trained to follow CDC protocol including but not limited to:

-Avoid close contact with people who are sick

-Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth

-Stay home when you are sick

-Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces using a regular household cleaning spray or wipe

-Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, especially after going to the bathroom; before eating; and after blowing your nose, coughing or sneezing

-If soap and water are not readily available, use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol

CDC Steps to Prevent Illness

Hotel Updates

The following updates have been made to ensure your safety:

-All unpackaged, self service items have been removed from the continental breakfast. The breakfast will strictly be on a grab and go basis. Guests that do decide to use the grab and go items will be instructed to consume these items in their rooms and not in public areas.

-Lobby chairs and barstools have been removed to be compliant to the city ordinance regarding gatherings of 25 or more people

-Wine Down has been discontinued until further notice

-The fitness center has been closed until further notice

Ongoing Updates

We will continue to monitor the situation and implement changes as necessary to ensure the safety of our guests and employees. All changes will be updated to our website immediately. Our thoughts are with those impacted both globally and in the U.S. as well as our local community.
