The Smithsonian Museum of Natural History is one of the most extensive collections of natural artifacts in the world. Learn about ancient species, view priceless natural gemstones and discover the diversity of aquatic life in the world's oceans.
The museum's collection contains over 126 million specimens of fossils, plants, animals, human remains, minerals, meteorites and cultural artifacts. The Smithsonian dinosaur exhibit is perhaps the most famous attraction at the museum and contains 46 complete fossilized skeletons, including those of a Tyrannosaurus Rex and Triceratops.
